About Elizabeth
Hi there! I’m Elizabeth Polland. I’m a wife, mom to two curious kids, and have two decades of experience in strategic storytelling, including 13 years with Sony Music, where I served as connective tissue between corporate and creative teams.
Working on the corporate side of a record company, I had a front-row seat into the systemic issues of the industry. I worked with leaders who were not blind to the struggles of artists and wanted to be a part of the solution. And we started to create ground-breaking initiatives that helped - but didn’t fix systemic industry problems. That’s when I realized that one person, one company, one sector of the industry could not flip a switch and create tidal change.
But what I had experienced was a change in my perspective. I realized I wanted to get closer to providing tangible support. And that changed everything, for me.
I realized that, more than anything, people need someone to listen. They need to know they’re not alone in thinking that their circumstances are really messed up. Also - even when you can’t change external circumstances, you can do internal work. And sometimes, with the right ingredients of love and support and accountability, how you see yourself starts to shift. How you show up transforms. You become free to be who you want to be and create what you long to create.
As a parent myself, I have a heart for working with fellow parents. And while I’ve seen so many friends and colleagues navigate life in the industry in their own way, I’ve realized: we need to share resources about how to navigate life on the road with kids. We need more connection. We need community.
Rooted in the South, and with Nashville close to surpassing NYC as the place I’ve lived the longest, in 2024 I shifted to equip myself with tools to help create real impact. I studied Leadership and Performance Coaching at Brown University, building on my undergrad at Columbia University. I earned my ACC credential from the International Coaching Federation, and I founded New Rhythm Coaching.
I help clients align the story they’re telling themselves with the one they’re sharing with the world—so creativity can flow not from resistance but from resonance. When we realize that we have freedom to change our perspective, our experience changes. Our relationships change. Our lives change. We come home to ourselves and remember who we are, and what we can give.
